(English Abstract)
With the development of cloud computing, the interest on spatial database outsourcing has been sharply increasing. Therefore, researches for protecting location data privacy in outsourced database have been actively performed. However, since the existing schemes are weak to access ordering relationship attack, they can not protect the privacy of users who enjoy location-based services from the outsourced database. In addition, they have a shortcoming that the communication cost for query processing is quite high. To solve these problems, we, in this paper, propose a Hilbert curve-based cryptographic transformation scheme to protect location data privacy in outsourced databases. The proposed scheme avoids access ordering relationship attack by storing numerous location data in a tuple. Furthermore, we reduces the communication cost for query processing by performing local clustering based on Hilbert curve ordering. Finally, we show through performance analysis that the proposed scheme greatly reduces the communication cost for query processing, consequently showing better query processing performance, compared with the existing scheme.
